Women's Fit Sizing

Women's fit sizing is a tapered cut with a narrower shoulder, shaped waist, and shorter body length, graded on its own smaller size chart.

Where unisex sizing borrows the men's block wholesale, women's fit sizing works from its own pattern: curved side seams that taper in at the waist, a narrower shoulder measurement, and a body length that runs 2 to 3 inches shorter than the equivalent unisex size. A Bella+Canvas 6004 women's fit tee runs its own size range, XS through 2XL, rather than the S-through-6XL spread you'd see on a unisex style from the same brand.

The measurements aren't a simple scale-down either. A women's fit medium on the 6004 measures around 34 to 36 inches at the bust with real waist shaping, while a unisex medium is a flat 20-inch-wide panel measured armpit to armpit with no taper at all — two different measurement conventions describing two different garments.

Mixing women's fit with unisex sizing inside one team order means running two separate size charts, and it means collecting sizes from buyers against the correct chart, not just a shirt size in general. Asking a group for a medium without specifying which cut leads to the wrong shirts showing up, since a women's fit medium and a unisex medium fit nothing alike.

The mistake is assuming women's fit sizes are just unisex sizes shifted down by one step across the board. The charts don't run parallel. A women's fit large can measure narrower through the shoulder than a unisex medium even though large sounds bigger on paper, so buyers comparing the two should check actual chest and length numbers rather than trusting the letter size alone.
